Dougie joined Gore & Grimes Solicitors LLP in June 2012. Before this, he co-founded the firm of Lennon Heather Solicitors, where he was involved for a period of 30 years, spending some 25 of those years as Managing Partner.
Since joining Gore & Grimes Solicitors LLP, he continues to operate in the fields of corporate and commercial law, incorporating mergers, acquisitions, fund raising and other corporate finance type transactions in addition to specialising in banking and property transactions and receiverships, liquidations and insolvencies generally, including examinerships and personal insolvency.
Throughout his career, Dougie has specialised in high level corporate and commercial law, commercial property and commercial banking and security transactions. He has acted for a number of very significant and well known developers and businesses, both privately owned and publicly listed. In addition he has acted for all of the major banks in Ireland.
Dougie served as a Board Director of International Sports Management Limited for a period of 10 years and was chairman of the Board for five years. Dougie is a trustee of and runs the Darren Clarke Foundation and is a member of the Golf Digest Course Ratings Panel.
