Damien is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution department.

He joined the firm in April 2023. Prior to this, he worked in a global law firm in the areas of general commercial litigation, insurance defence and professional indemnity.

Damien has 19 years’ experience acting for clients across a broad range of commercial disputes in all court jurisdictions. He has represented parties at mediation, arbitration, and conciliation.

He has acted for insurers and self-insured corporates in defending complex multi-party actions, general liability claims and recovery proceedings. He has considerable experience defending actions against professionals including engineers and architects, surveyors and project managers, insurance brokers and financial advisers, solicitors and accountants and providing coverage advice to insurers.

Damien has advised and acted for clients in the defence of data breach actions, financial litigation, defamation, product liability, property disputes, contractual liability, nuisance claims, debt and asset recovery litigation and personal injury and medical negligence suits.

He has represented Plaintiffs and Defendants involved in construction defect disputes including actions involving pyrite in foundations, fire safety defects, substandard workmanship, breaches of building regulations and planning permission, enforcement of collateral warranties and construction bonds.

Damien qualified as a barrister-at-law in 2004. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in the Republic of Ireland in 2009 and in England & Wales in 2010. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
