Gore & Grimes Solicitors LLP were delighted to sponsor a tee box at the recent Denis O’Brien Golf Classic in support of Special Olympics Ireland. It was a fantastic day for a truly important cause, and we were honoured to play a small part in it.

A particularly moving moment came when Special Olympics athlete Margaret Turley took to the stage to share her story. Her words resonated deeply with everyone in attendance, offering a powerful reminder of the strength, determination, and spirit that define Special Olympics athletes.

Special Olympics Ireland is a remarkable organisation with a mission to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Their work offers participants opportunities not only to develop physical fitness, but also to build confidence, experience joy, and foster friendships within their communities and beyond.

Their vision is equally inspiring—to deliver a high-quality, inclusive sports programme that is deeply embedded in local communities, led by passionate volunteers, and provides ongoing health and well-being opportunities for athletes from the age of four and up.
