Liam qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and is a partner in our Litigation Department. He has a wide experience in commercial litigation matters including high value contractual and tortious disputes, with an emphasis on professional indemnity disputes, particularly relating to the Financial Services Sector. Liam regularly advises in property related disputes and professional negligence claims and has acted for both claimants and respondents in arbitrations, mediations and investigations before the Financial Services and Pension Ombudsmen. Liam is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Liam conducts litigation for private clients, corporates and insurers in employer liability and employment practice related claims. Liam has lectured and been published on the various aspects of litigation management. He is on the Law Society of Ireland panel of tutors.
Liam acts for insolvency office holders and stakeholders in the insolvency process and is a member of The Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners in Ireland (ISIP) and INSOL Europe.
Liam has advised institutional clients regarding the range of legal issues which arise as result of people in care and represents a number of registered charities. Liam sits on the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Ireland.
